The Community Impact Model
Community Leadership is the backbone of everything we do at DMCI. It’s the bridge between voice and action, and is what builds collective impact through and by the will of the people. When neighbors, business owners, local organizations, and government all act in alignment toward a shared goal, lasting change is possible. Everyone feels part of the story.
DMCI helps communities identify leaders who are experts at building relationships, listening to stories, and advocating for their neighbors. We support these leaders in establishing measurement practices, building public will and trust, advancing policy, and mobilizing resources so their leadership is effective, generative, and reflects the community’s voice.
Community leaders help us identify shared interests, issues impacting equity, and where there’s desire and potential for action and change. Using action items stemming from the Community Voice Report, we support the vision and strategy, making sure agency stays in the community’s hands.
