Financial Education Action Committee - Implementation

Action Committees are partner-driven action-oriented meetings that focus on the details of creating systemic change in the neighborhood.

The action committee follows a continuous improvement process that will result in the implementation of evidence-based strategies, designed to eliminate financial education root causes, in Park Hill. Action committee members consist of individuals who Live, Learn, Work, Play, or Worship in Park Hill.

Over the past two months, the action committee was able to 1) secure funding, 2) secure expert trainers, 3) set curriculum, 4) set the schedule, 5) finalize the recruitment plan, and 6) plan logistics. On July 29th, they hosted a community feedback event regarding the Park Hill Financial Empowerment Program Plan and added a session to the Business finance module at the request of the community. The committee registered and enrolled 11 Trusted Community Members as trainees in the program and held the first session of the program on August 12th.

After setting the program targets and evaluation details prior to implementation, the committee is now meeting bi-weekly to review results the of data collected through multiple instruments. The consistent analysis of the reports ensures that the program undergoes routine rapid cycles of improvement.
